This month we are excited to host Petaluma artists Lulu Smith and Sophia Lavrov and their show "Family And Friends: A Visual Exploration"

"Family and Friends: A Visual Exploration" is a collaborative exhibition/installation of mixed media collage work and oil painting.

The exhibition explores aspects of their adolescence, focusing primarily on their relationships with friends and family. The artists reflect upon their impressions of people in their past and present realities and explore the concepts of influence, shifting relationships and coming of age in a rapidly evolving world. From handling close friendships, to living independently while maintaining family relations and navigating their social lives as young women, Lulu and Sophia guide the viewer through a visual and material exploration of their experiences.

OPENING RECEPTION
Saturday, May 25th • 5 to 8pm

Reception will feature live music by Gina Rene, an internationally known American singer and songwriter who discovered her voice through a series of colorful life experiences. Imagine an R&B/Soul/Hip-Hop and Reggae concert that meets the soothing power of a sound healing session that culminates in a stream-of-consciousness musical transmission infused with stirring melodies, lyrics, and spoken word over bass-heavy riddims to form a unique mix of styles wrapped in a high vibe, uplifting sound. and an opportunity to meet the artists. Wine and refreshments will be served.
